5. I Too Dream of a Quiet Christmas
Dream on, as they say. Once you have young kids, you will not be having a peaceful Christmas for much longer after that. For about, I’d say… eh, eighteen years or so for each child. But at least once kids hit their teens, they start to sleep a bit more and give you some peace.

Just don’t expect them to be as easily impressed by Christmas itself, and their demands for gifts might go up a bit in the price range as they ask for that fancy new technology. So ask yourself this: What’s worse? Teenagers or toddlers?
