Do you guys remember the heyday of midnight showings of big films? It feels like this has largely gone away—perhaps due to streaming services—but there was a time, 15 or 20 years ago, when hundreds of people would gather to watch the latest Marvel or Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings film the second it was released in theaters.

I always rather enjoyed seeing a movie I was excited about with people who were just as excited as I was. But if you prefer to watch your movies without a bunch of people being loudly excited around you, I imagine that kind of thing would be extremely irritating, not fun.
