Trying to Get Closer
It wasn’t long before Bloomingdale called Vicki, asking her to lunch. Even though Vicki was very intrigued by the man who gave her a $8,000 cheque, she was reluctant to go out with him. She was still married, after all, and her husband didn’t like what was going on. She also wasn’t sure about Bloomingdale’s intentions…
The man was persistent, though, and called her several times a day until she finally agreed to have lunch with him. That was the beginning of their relationship. Their first lunch was followed by many others, and Vicki soon became a close confidant for Bloomingdale.
