A Chance to Start Fresh?
Vicki was discharged from the facility and was given the chance to finally live a normal life. She’d gotten the help that she needed, and she was in a much more stable and healthy state, physically and mentally. It seemed like she finally had a real chance to start afresh and live a normal life – until the news came in.
She learned that Bloomingdale was diagnosed with cancer and was given only a few months to live, and since the two still had feelings for each other, his diagnosis changed things for both of them – and ultimately brought them back together. Bloomingdale chose to spend his final months with Vicki – and in 1982, he left her half of his business deals profits in his will.
