Have you ever had some fact in your head that you are absolutely certain is true, and you don’t realize it’s actually just an assumption that you made at some point and was totally wrong? Have you ever carried that incorrect assumption embarrassingly far into your adulthood? If so, you’re in good company. We all have one or two things that it took us an embarrassingly long time to realize we were completely wrong about. #1: Not a Literal Name
I can’t even hold this one against this guy: words are confusing. Whose idea was it to have words with so many different possible meanings? Why can’t language be straightforward, with each word just meaning one thing? I guess we have to blame the Anglo Saxons for English.
Because personally, I think that his assumption sounds like a perfectly reasonable one, especially for a kid. But also, if it were real, I would feel really bad for those patients. As though it wasn’t enough to be dealing with one difficult disease at a time, right?
